“We tried to throw the bollard at him. We really wanted to stop him.”

Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese praised Guerot’s “extraordinary bravery” and offered him Australian citizenship, stating that he was welcome to stay in the country for as long as he wished. French President Emmanuel Macron also lauded Guerot and his fellow Frenchman Silas Despreaux, declaring them true heroes and expressing his pride and recognition for their actions. Both nations shared in the gratitude for the Bollard Man’s selfless act.
